Nocturnal Emission is known by different names by different people like Night emission, Night fall, Night Discharge, Wet Dream, Dream Ejaculation. In Ayurveda, this condition is called ‘swapandosha’. A person suffering from this disorder has spontaneous ejaculation of semen during his sleep. This is invariably triggered by an erotic dream.
Most men go through this during puberty. Young men, in the age range of 18 to 30 years are most usually afflicted with this disorder.
As per Ayurveda this disorder is a result of excessive pitta (or heat) in the body. The aggravated pitta situated in the central part of the body renders the semen thin which results in Nocturnal Emissions or Swapandosh. Following puberty, males experience hormonal changes. As they get curious owing to lack of sex education and become aware of there sexual organ, they begin to masturbate. Their sperm production levels in the body rise and masturbation and ejaculation also becomes more frequent. They tend to have sexually explicit dreams, which results in involuntary masturbation and ejaculation. At times, they may not even consciously masturbate, but the ejaculation happens nevertheless.
Ayurveda is the best possible method to cure this disorder. It not only treats the disorder, Ayurveda revitalises and rejuvenates the entire system.
